Caravan finance with moneysupermarket

In a recent post concerning finding the right caravan insurance deal for your beloved holiday home or caravan I may have been a little bit hasty in tarring all insurance search engines with the same brush. I noted that most of these sites like moneysupermarket were probably not the best place to find your ideal insurance or finance deal based off the fact, or what I thought was a fact, that such sites were monetised by adding a fee ontop of each quote given and as such you could generally find a better deal by approaching the dealers directly.

While it can be true that approaching dealers directly can result in getting an exclusive deal that isnt available through these aggregator services that is not always the case and the opposite can even be true in some cases where these sites will get an exclusive offer that isnt available anywhere else. These sites can get these exclusive deals as they can have a huge amount of pull with some funding corporations or insurers.

Another benefit of using these finance search engines is that not only can you find a good deal but they will give you a list of potential companies VERY quickly and as such are great for comparing individual companies. Before these sites were around you could literally spend days calling each company and giving them your details and still not find the best deal going.

In short I am saying that not all money compare sites are alike and that some are indeed worth checking out as a first port of call when you are looking for some insurance or a finance deal.
