Lunar touring caravans 2008 review

Lunar has been manufacturing touring caravans for 38 years and has established itself well within the industry as a very leightweight caravan manufacturer. Here we are going to be looking at the 2008 models of the Quasar, Lexon, Delta and Ariva to see how they compete in the modern caravan industry.

Lunar Lexon 585 SI £14295 - £16495

The Lunar Lexon is only available in a 4berth and is very much a mid to high spec caravan, as a Lunar you can also be sure it is light weight for the size of caravan. This particular 2008 model of the Lunar Lexon 585 SI comes complete with great fauz suede leather material seating in the lounge, I thought this material was high quality and fitting for such a caravan. The fixed end double bed in this Lexon had a foam mattress that seemed to fit around you, this is similar to those specialist mattresses found in expensive beds that ensure proper support for every part of the body.

As seen in the pictures above, the Lunar Lexon is cleanly styled and amply featured, however there were one or two issues that sprung to mind when I was looking around it, the most obvious of these was the closeness of the toilet to the wash basin. The picture of the toilet / washroom above shows clearly that the toilet is very close to the wash basin, to the point of being hard to get to.

Sadly the toilet issue spoilt what was looking to be a great touring caravan, however for the price it is a great value lightweight caravan ideal for weeks away caravanning.
