Clifden's Ecological Beach Campsite & Caravan Park is ideally located on a private secluded beach at the estuary of Streamstown Bay. Unique to the park is an eco-system called 'machair.' This is a highly specialized & complex sand dune habitat system that, in the entire world naturally occurs along certain parts of the west coast of Ireland & Continental Europe

Our ecological park offers campers a cluster free, 'real camping' experience on eight hectares of coastal Machair habitat bio-diversity, with unparalleled panoramic Atlantic seascape views. The coastal eco-park, with its soft, white, sandy 'private secluded beach' is in walking distance to the stunning tidal island of Omey. Located just ten minutes from Clifden town & two minutes from the scenic village of Claddaghduff. Clifden eco-Campsite with its picturesque coastal beach front site offers the perfect base for exploring Connemara.

The site is almost surrounded by the sea & has the perfect on site location for all kinds of sea-borne activities including, safe swimming, excellent sea angling, scuba diving, wind & kite surfing, boating & the famous 'drift dive'. An excellent experience is the 'drift snorkle' from our sandy beach along the estuary of Streamstown Bay. There are beautiful coastal beach walks directly from the park, including walks to & around the tidal island of Omey

Take Westport Road/N 59,turn left at the Clifden Topaz fuel station, continue to follow N59 (3.5 km).

→ Turn left onto 'Omey Island/Claddaghduff'Road, as sign posted. Continue to follow road (6.2km).

→Turn left onto Acton's eco-Campsite Road, as sign posted. Continue to follow road to reception (450 mtrs).


'Galway'

Take Clifden Road/N 59,continue to follow N59 (50.3km).

→Turn right at the Clifden Topaz fuel station onto the Westport road/N59 continue to follow N59 (3.5 km)

→ Turn left onto 'Omey Island/Claddaghduff'Road, as sign posted. Continue to follow road (6.2km).

→Turn left onto Acton's eco-Campsite Road as sign posted. Continue to follow road to reception (450 mtrs).


'Westport town'

Take Leenane/Clifden Road/N59, continue to follow N59 (61.5 km).

→Turn right onto Claddaghduff'Road, as sign posted. Continue to follow road (6.2km).

→Turn left onto Acton's eco-Campsite Road as sign posted. Continue to follow road to reception (450 mtrs).
