Dolaucothi Estate Caravan Site is a National Trust /Caravan Club affiliated site set just yards from the River Cothi and on the doorstep of Dolaucothi Gold Mines - the only known Roman gold mine in the UK.
There are 38 pitches, 14 of which are hard standing. Motorhome service point. 16amp Electric hook ups .2 Water and waste disposal and recycling points .No shower or toilet facilities.
Digital Tv from onsite mast.
Local bus to lampeter or llandovery two days a week.
There are magnificent way-marked walks on the Estate, suitable for both the energetic and those who like to amble. Dog walks start from the site.
Whether you enjoy the views over the valley from on high, or from the picnic benches on the accessible river walk, the Dolaucothi Estate Caravan Site is perfect for people wanting to immerse themselves in the tranquillity of the Carmarthenshire countryside.
Note. no children play ground or ball game area.

attractions and directions

Follow the signs to the Dolaucothi Goldmines from the A482 between Llanwrda and Lampeter.
The area is steeped in history. The site is next door to the Dolaucothi Gold Mines, where you can take tours of the underground mines from different eras. Other National Trust properties at Dinefwr, Cwmdu and Aberdeunant are a short drive away. There are castles galore in Carmarthenshire, and the wonderful gardens at Aberglasney and Middleton are within easy reach.
