Probably the perfect family holiday site. Level and open, and ideally located in a Country Park with steam trains, lake, cycle & walking trails and every kind of sporting facility laid on. Theres a super watersports centre for sailing and windsurfing, and coarse fishing may be had in the lakes. There are also two golf courses, bird hides by the river, and no less than 60 miles of cycleways, all off-road even to the town centre. If outdoor sports are rained off, theres still plenty to do indoors in Peterborough itself, with ice or roller skating, indoor pool, bowling alley, cinema, theatre, tennis, badminton and snooker, and to top it all a 6 acre shopping complex which would take some beating.

From N & W on A1/A47 - turn off A1 at sp Alwalton; in 200yds at T-junc turn L; then as below.

From S on A1 - do not turn onto A1139 (sp Peterborough) but turn L in 1m at next junc immed past service stn (sp Showground, Chesterton, Elton); in 80yds turn L at T-junc (sp Peterborough); cont straight at next 3 rndabts following brown country pk signs; in abt 250yds past 3rd rndabt turn L into rd sp Nene Pk, Ferry Meadows into Ham Lane. Site on L in 200yds past level X-ing.

From E on A47 - follow sps Leicester to junc 15; turn L onto slip rd at sp London (A1), Northampton (A605); follow Country Pk (Nene Pk) signs then brown Ferry Meadows sign. Site on L 200yds past level X-ing.

From N on A15 - at junc 18 turn onto A47; then as from E above.

From W on A605 - turn L at sp Elton Hall; in 7m turn L into rd sp Nene Pk, Ferry Meadows.
