The site is in an enviable very peaceful location, with stunning views of the high "Tors" of Dartmoor. 3 main areas divided by Devon Banks and hedgerow serve all types of unit with a chioce of hard standing with hook up, grass with hook up, or unserviced grass pitches. there are ample service points for fresh water and grey drainage, with a dedicated service bay for motor homes.We offer full toilet, shower and laundry facilities with ramped access and a dedicated wet room facilitiy for the dissabled. The site has a small shop selling daily necessities, newspapers to order and Calor Gas and Camping Gaz. Bus Stop 175 yards.

Okehampton attractions and directions

Lydford village is steeped in history and has many interesting features. Lydford Gorge (the deepest gorge in the south) has a 3mile NT circular walk to visit the 90ft White Lady Waterfall, beautiful fuana and flora and the Devils Cauldron whirl pool on the way back. Must see are Lydford C9th castle, ancient Lydford Church, and the massive now redundant Lydford Viaduct. The 11mile Granite Way mainly traffic free cycle track (Sustrans route 27) runs from Lydford to Okehampton offering very peaceful walking or cycling. Being centrally located in the west country, the site is an ideal base for visiting many and varied places of interest .
Tavistock "the nicest town in Devon" is 7 miles to the south and Okehampton 7 miles to the North.
DIRECTIONS; For yours and your units safety please do not use sat/nav or pc sourced directions after A30.
FROM A30; Turn south nr Okehampton on to A386 SP. Tavistock & Plymouth. In 5 miles app' pass Fox & Hounds Pub on left. In a further 1.5 miles app' turn RIGHT for LYDFORD at tall brown tourist sign by phone box, just before Dartmoor Inn. In Lydford turn SHARP FIRST RIGHT at war memorial in middle of junction. In 75 yards BEAR RIGHT at Y junction. Site on LEFT in 100 yards.
FROM TAVISTOCK. Use A386 SP Okehampton only. In 7 miles turn LEFT for LYDFORD at Dartmoor Inn, then follow as above.
ALL ARRIVALS BETWEEN 12PM & 7PM PLEASE.
