"Near the North Norfolk Coast"

The beautiful coast line of North Norfolk is a short walk away from the Club Site at West Runton ??? which was completely refurbished last year. Inland is gentle, rolling countryside, accessible by public transport.

The beach at West Runton is accessible from the clifftop car park. It is ideal for swimming, paddling and exploring rock pools. The Norfolk Shire Horse Centre has several breeds of horses and a collection of waggons and carts. Roman Camp???s heaths and woodlands are managed by the National Trust. The remains of Britain???s oldest fossil ??? the West Runton Elephant ??? are at Cromer Museum. East Runton village is nearby. It has traditional Norfolk buildings and a couple of ponds. The North Norfolk Railway line is known as the Poppy Line, because of the flowers lining the track. Sheringham Park is famous for its rhododendrons and azeleas. Climb the Beacon for excellent views inland and out to sea. Holkham Hall is home to the Earl and Countess of Leicester. Felbrigg Hall is a 17th century house with park, walled garden, dovecote and orangery. Muckleburgh Military Museum is the UK???s largest privately owned, working military museum. Visitors can try driving a tank. The villages of West and East Runton have a selection of village shops and several places to eat. Many pitches are sloping and chocks may be required.
