Caravan Park Details

In an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this pleasant open site is set in a meadow, and only a half mile riverside walk into the small, friendly town of Wick, once the busiest herring port in Europe. Now tourism is the main industry with the Heritage Centre and the Caithness Glass factory in town where you can watch glass blowers at work. Freshwater, sea and loch fishing are available and nature lovers will love the seabirds and seal colonies off the coast There are delightful walks along beautiful white sandy beaches, but the jewel in the crown is likely to be a day trip to the Orkneys from John OGroats (14m) with a coach tour of the scenic and historic highlights.

Wick attractions and directions

From S (Inverness) on A99 - on app town centre turn L into Thurso Rd (A882); in Yzrn turn R into Riverside Drive at intl caravan sign. Site in 25Oyds (just after passing under rly bdge). See note below.

From NW (Thurso) on A882 - on app Wick turn L 300yds past Welcome to Wick sign into Riverside Drive. Site in 250yds (just after passing under ny bdge). See note below.

From N (John oGroats) on A99 - turn R past Wick town centre into Thurso Rd (A882); then as From S on A99 above.

Note: Although there is a height restriction of 9ft (2.895 metres) governed by a height warning gauge on the approach rd, )outfits taller than this should park in the space provided and contact the Warden on site, for easy alternative access instructions.
