There is a 5 acre family recreation area, large childrens adventure playground, mountain bike hire (in Ambleside), and nearby there are pubs and eating houses within walking distance.

Ambleside attractions and directions

With over 5 miles of private roads within the exclusive grounds, there is always something to see, some new area to explore.

As Skelwith Fold is set in the very heart of the Lakeland National Park, there is no shortage of places to visit.
From Ambleside, take the A593 Coniston road. In Clappersgate turn left onto the B5286 for Hawkshead where you will find the park on the right, signposted.
