Caravan Park Details
Once famous as a holiday pleasure garden, the Dene is now being restored to its former glory.
From the Park, take a walk along the Durham Heritage Coast and enjoy the stunning views or venture inland to the rugged beauty of the upper Tees Valley and marvel at High Force waterfalls. The more energetic can follow the Pennine way to the dramatic falls of Cauldron Snout. In the evening, return to the Park for a well-earned drink in the Ocean Bar.
Hartlepool attractions and directions
Hartlepool. A stunning marina complex, an old town steeped in history and miles of golden sands with shops, cinema complex, and markets.
Beamish Museum. This living, working experience of life as it was in the Great North in early 1800???s and 1900???s.
Penshaw Monument. On the summit of Penshaw hill, built in 1844, and dedicated to John George Lambton, the first Earl of Durham and the first governor of Canada.
Durham. Durham Castle and magnificent Cathedral plus river trips.
Dalton Park Retail Outlet. Selling top brands at low prices.
From the A19 just south of Peterlee, take the B1281 turning signed to Blackhall, and drive through Castle Eden, turning left after about ?? mile signed towards Blackhall. After approx. 3 miles turn right at T-junction onto A1086, towards Crimdon. After about 1 mile the park entrance is signposted on the left, beside the Seagull public house.
