Caravan Park Details
Sandylands is close to the famous sandy beaches of the Ayrshire coast. From here you can explore the scenic glens and magnificent mountains of northwest Ayrshire, take a boat trip to the Isle of Arran or stroll into the centre of the popular holiday resort of nearby Saltcoats.
Enjoy a dip in the heated indoor pool, or take a walk to the nearby sandy beach. Kids will love Sparky???s Krew Club, where they can take part in Clown Academy, Mini Beast Safari, Fancy Dress, puzzles, quizzes and games.
In the evening, head for the Beacon Family Club for a great line up of fun and family entertainment, with dancing shows, visiting bands and exciting cabarets.
Saltcoats attractions and directions
Loudoun Castle Family Theme Park. 500 acres of fun in the castle grounds, full of thrills for all the family, including The Twist ???n??? Shout Roller Coaster, Loggers Leap and swashbuckling fun in ???Pirates Cove???.
Isle of Arran. Take a boat from Ardrossan to ???Scotland in miniature??? as Arran is known and you will find magnificent Highland scenery, a distillery, micro brewery, aromatics, craft shops, castles and mysterious stone circles.
Vikingar! Experience the Viking adventures first hand, as you are guided through 500 years of history by costumed storytellers. Then take your seat for a 5 screen film following one Viking family through centuries of turmoil and adventure.
Ayr Racecourse for regular fixtures throughout the year. For a great day visit on 21 and 22 April (National), 17 July (Derby) or 14, 15 and 16 September (Gold Cup).
Golf courses. You???re spoilt for choice in Ayrshire. It???s even said that you can walk for 18 miles along the coast without ever leaving the links!
Culzean Castle. An Italianate castle in over 500 acres of country park and gardens. The dramatic cliff top setting gives marvellous views over the Firth of Clyde.
Kelburn Castle & Country Centre. The 13th century castle provides an impressive background to exotic gardens with famous trees. The Kelburn Glen with its waterfalls and deep gorges is one of Scotland???s most beautiful woodlands.
Burns National Heritage Park in romantic Alloway includes the cottage where this great poet was born. Visit the monument, the Brig O???Doon, and haunted Kirk Alloway, then relax in the Tam o???Shanter visitor centre.
From Glasgow, take the M77 to Prestwick Airport/Kilmarnock. Follow signs for Kilmarnock until you see the signs for Irvine. Follow signs to Irvine to pick up the signs for Ardrossan. Follow the A78 signs for Stevenston. Go through Stevenston, past the Auchenharvie Leisure Centre. The Holiday Park is located on the left.
