Come to Walton-on-the-Naze, on the Essex Sunshine Coast for the beautiful golden sandy beaches, a pier and seaside shops. Explore the tidal inlets, drive inland to famous landmarks painted by Constable, such as Flatford Mill and ???The Hay Wain??? or visit nearby Colchester with its famous Zoo and Castle.
Naze Marine offers a family outdoor pool complex with children???s splash pool and poolside Ocean Caf?? Bar. Or venture off the Park for nearby fishing, sea fishing, golf and horse riding.
The evening entertainment gets off to a fine start with Sparky???s Krew fun for all the family. Then join in with disco, dancing, games and competitions, or sit back and enjoy the sparkling shows and visiting cabarets in the NEWLY restyled Marine Park Showbar.
Walton-on-the-Naze attractions and directions
Stour Valley RSPB Bird Reserve. This coppiced woodland has an impressive display of spring flowers. Watch wading birds, ducks and geese on the estuary, and listen out for nightingales in Spring and early Summer.
Lifeboat Museum, Harwich. A history of lifeboat service including the last Clacton offshore 34 foot boat.
Framlingham. Take a scenic drive through the Suffolk countryside to visit the unspoilt market town of Framlingham. Explore the 12th century castle where Mary Tudor was proclaimed Queen.
Walton Pier. The second longest pier in the UK with amusement arcade, fun fair and so much more for the whole family.
Walton Backwaters, seal trips around Horsey Island. Take a boat trip on the backwaters, a setting for some of Arthur Ransome???s Swallows and Amazons Adventures and look out for the seals around Horsey Island.
Holland Haven Country Park. Over 100 acres of unspoilt scenic coastline ideal for bird watching.
The Naze. 137 acres of grassland above 70-foot cliffs dominated by the Naze Tower.
Colchester. A Norman Castle, the famous zoo, leisure world and some excellent shopping.
Dedham Art & Craft Centre. Three floors of arts, crafts and studio workshops.
Follow the main A12 to Colchester. Take the main A120 Harwich road as far as the A133. Take the A133 as far as Weeley, and then take the B1033 all the way to Walton seafront. Naze Marine Holiday Park is situated on the left.
