Caravan Park Details

Cross the tidal causeway to leafy Mersea Island for a gentler pace of life. Coopers Beach Holiday Park in East Mersea has fantastic coastal frontage, with views across the Blackwater estuary out to sea.



Top up your tan beside the Park???s heated outdoor pool. The Adventure Playground is sure to keep the kids busy for hours with plenty to climb, slide and swing from it???s a great way to tire them out! In the evening enjoy a meal on the Waterside Terrace and soak up the views, then take it easy in the NEWLY Waterside Tavern as you plan your next day out.

Mersea Island attractions and directions

Layer Marney Tower. Britain???s tallest Tudor gatehouse built in the reign of Henry VIII. Explore the gardens, farm and nature trails, then visit the tearooms.



Cudmore Grove Country Park. Enjoying fine views across the Colne and Blackwater estuaries.



East Anglian Railway Museum. A wide collection of locomotives and rolling stock. Look around the shed and see the volunteers work on the restorations.



Tiptree. Visit the home of fine preserves. Choose from over 100 different types of jam to buy, visit the rural museum, or have a cuppa in the famous Tea Room.



Kelvedon Bunker. A hidden bunker from where central government and military commanders would have run the region had the UK been attacked and nuclear war broken out.



Coggeshall Grange Barn. One of the oldest timber framed barns in Europe with a magnificent interior and collection of carts and wagons.



Paycockes. A fine timbered house famous for its lace.



Wivenhoe. Look around the small town and the once thriving port, or take in the beautiful countryside and wildlife.


Take the A12 and head towards Colchester. Follow the signs for Colchester Zoo. Look for signs to Mersea Island. Follow the Mersea Road on to the island. Bear left into East Mersea. The Holiday Park is 50 metres on the right from the Post Office.
