Caravan Park Details
Welcome to Kippford Holiday Park, one of the most beautiful holiday parks in Scotland, the holiday location for those who wish to avoid the "indoor attractions" of the noisier resort locations. With all of Dumfries and Galloway - often described as Scotland in Miniature- for your playground and the Colvend Coast , known as Scotlands Riviera for its beautiful rocky headlands and sandy beaches as your neighbourhood; Kippford is regarded as being the loveliest seaside village in South West Scotland.
Dalbeattie attractions and directions
For children we have a well equipped and spacious Play Area and separate Assault Course. Teenagers seem to melt into the woodland (until hunger strikes!). Fishing is available from our private trout loch (600 yards away). For details of nearby Salmon, Seatrout, Saltwater and Coarse fishing ask for our Fishing guide. Boat trips are available at Kippford or Kirkcudbright. Boats can be launched at Kippford, where there is an active yacht club. Sailing courses are available at Loch Ken, only 18 miles away. Within 4 miles we can arrange for riding lessons, and for you to use a lovely indoor pool.
From Kippford. an extremely pretty coastal walk passes the beach and follows the shore to the neighbouring seaside village of Rockcliffe. Stop here for a snack and decide which of the marked forest trails to use to return to the Park.
Longer coastal trails can be followed one way, using the local bus to get back.
At the western end of the Dumfries bypass take the turning marked "Dalbeattie & Colvend Coast, Rockcliffe & Sandyhills beaches, Kippford sailing, Golfcourses" via the A711, to Dalbeattie, then turn left onto the A710 marked "Colvend Coast". The park entrance is on the main road in 3.5 miles, 200 yards further on than the branch road to Kippford.
