The park is situated along the Leeds and Liverpool Canal and we are within easy reach of most of the North Wests major tourist attractions.

Shaw Hall is situated in the heart of the West Lancashire countryside on the banks of the Leeds - Liverpool canal.



We are just six miles from Southport and only four miles from Ormskirk.



Also within easy reach there is Camelot, Wigan Pier, Albert Dock in Liverpool and the Granada Studios Tour in Manchester.



If you enjoy shopping, we are close to Liverpool, Preston, Manchester, the elegant Victorian town of Southport and of course the new Trafford Centre, just outside Manchester.



Southport is renowned for being one of the most elegant centres for shopping, its backbone is Lord Street which has now been designated a conservation area due to its amazing Victorian Heritage. Also at Southport, for the more energetic there is Pleasure Land. For the more relaxed at heart the formal gardens at Hesketh Park and the Botanic Gardens are both worth a look.

The seven miles of golden sands are fringed by grassy sand hills, which are perfect for picnics and when the sun comes up, the beaches are wonderful.

As if that isnt enough the area has no less than six championship golf courses.



Ormskirk is a small market town and offers a pleasant contrast to Southport. It has a wealth of smaller shops all set in a historic background, also in the town is the market which is on Thursdays or Saturdays.

The Trafford Centre
Use the M6 to junction 26 then go onto the M58 to junction 3, then onto the A570 signposted Ormskirk. Go through Ormskirk on the A570 to Scarisbrick. Half a mile past the Little Chef turn right into Smithy Lane.
