Peaceful, pretty Park, set in coastal valley overlooking Chesil Beach. Ideal for a relaxing weekend retreat. Glorious sea and country views. Access through fields or by road to the beach which has a large car park. Excellent beach fishing and good country and coastal walks. Village pub only 100 metres. Ideal centre for exploring West Dorset. 6 miles to Bridport and West Bay.(We have a temporary Campsite at West Bay which opens for 8 weeks in the peak season - please phone for details)

Bridport attractions and directions

Weymouth and Lyme Regis - seaside resorts with sandy beaches.



West Bay - famous for its fishing, quaint old harbour and its nearby town of Bridport.



Hardys Monument - wonderful views over Weymouth, Portland and the Dorset Downs.



Abbotsbury - swannery and tropical gardens.



Dorchester - country market town, birthplace of Thomas Hardy.



Bovington - Tank Museum.



Cricket St Thomas - country house and wildlife park, home of the television series "To the Manor Born".



Yeovilton Air Station - home of Concorde.



Sea Life Centre - Weymouth



Forde Abbey - country house and gardens.



A good selection of sporting facilities is to be found in the area. Local beaches offer good swimming and Chesil Beach is excellent for beach fishing. West Bay offers boating trips for both fishing and pleasure. Golf courses are at West Bay, Dorchester and Weymouth. Horse riding (what better way to travel the country lanes and see the area) is catered for by several establishments providing tuition for the absolute novice to the next Harvey Smith! Bridport, Dorchester and Weymouth all have indoor leisure centres and swimming pools. Portland and Weymouth harbours offer excellent facilities for sailing and sail boarding.






From the East take the A35 from Dorchester through to Winterbourne Abbas, Portesham and Abbotsbury (B3157) to Swyre. From the West from Bridport (B3157) to Swyre. From either direction, turn opposite the Bull Inn towards the sea and find us 100 yards on the right.



For Sleepers Cottage make your way to the centre of Portesham. At the Kings Arms, head for Weymouth (B3157). Look out to the left for Sleepers on the outskirts of Portesham.
