Wild Rose is a friendly five star family park in the heart of the beautiful Eden Valley.



Free from the frenetic pace of the popular tourist areas, Eden has much to offer the discerning visitor. Appleby-in-Westmorland (only 3 miles away), was once a fierce border stronghold is now a pretty, leisurely little town with indoor swimming pool, 18 hole golf course, bowling green, small attractive shops and quaint pubs.



From the park visit traditional farming villages, or enjoy a trip on the famous Settle - Carlisle railway. Ideal base for exploring the lake District and Yorkshire Dales, both only a short drive away.



Relax, unwind and enjoy unrivalled views across the valley to the great ridges of the Pennines as they dip down to gently flowing river.



Wild Rose is open all year. In the summer it is a haven for flowers - primrose, cowslip and orchid, with violets in the hedgerows which blossom with cascades of wild roses. Whilst during winter snow can be see on the high fells and frost in the trees sparkle.



Wildlife is actively encouraged onto the park so do not be surprised if some unusual visitors join you for breakfast. Look out for Red Squirrels, Sparrow Hawks, Spotted Woodpeckers, Buzzards, Hedgehogs and Rabbits. Take a walk along our quiet country lanes if youre lucky see wild deer, badgers and foxes.



Caravans, motorhomes and tents are all welcome. Grass and hard standing pitches available some fully serviced with their own electric, water and TV hook up points. As you would expect from a top quality 5 star park, all our facilities are maintained to an exceptionally high standard.

Appleby In Westmorland attractions and directions

Wild Rose provides an ideal base for touring the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, the historic border city of Carlisle and Hadrians wall. Close to the famous Carlisle-Settle railway with the nearest station at Appleby.
From the M6-

From the South - exit junction 38, follow the B6260. In burrells turn very sharp right for Ormside, Follow the caravan park signs.



From the A1-

From the North - exit junction 40, follow A66, turn off the B6542 to Appleby. Take the B6260 sign posted for Orton. Fork left on the road marked Soulby. Follow signposts



Look out for the named brown tourist signs that will guide you straight to Wild Rose.
